Annual General Meeting The Annual General Meeting of Oxted Community Hall Management Limited was held on 11 January 2011. At this meeting shareholders receive the accounts, elect the Committee and carry out other formal business. It is also an opportunity for shareholders to discuss with the Committee how the Hall is being run, and to suggest changes or improvements. Shares may be purchased for £10 by people supportive of the objects of the company. If you would like to become a shareholder, or indeed a member of the management committee, do please discuss this with the Chairman, Robin Hickson. Badminton court lines Over Christmas the badminton clubs took up the remains of the tape marking out a badminton court and used our new marking machine to replace the tape with painted lines. It is hoped that this will last longer and be easier to re-apply than the taped lines, and will avoid the trip hazard risk posed by worn tape. Oxted Community Hall Appeal Following a final day packing in Morrisons just before Christmas (and a big Thank You to anyone who has ever packed to raise funds for the Appeal), Martin Fisher announced that the Oxted Community Hall Appeal is closed. There will be no further fund-raising activities, and thanks to a number of final donations the Appeal has been able to ensure that St. Mary's PCC has re-paid the loan taken out in 2007 to ensure the Community Hall could be built. |
